Lloyd Osbourne letter to Stephen Chalmers [manuscript], [?] Jan 11.

Osbourne writes that he regrets that his "engagements" make it impossible for them to come to Saranac for the Carnival. He plans to leave New York on the 2nd and spend that next three days with [Chalmers]. Osbourne asks that he reserve a room for him and his wife. He asks Chalmers to ask Mr. Borglum of the plague and adds "we are awaiting them with pardonable impatience." Osbourne notes the pleasure he has had in Chalmers' poems, especially "The Roses," and begs pardon for his scratchy note.
